There are many situations when steam temporarily bursts out of a pan and into the kitchen. Whenever this happens, use the intensive setting to activate the highest extraction rate. The bonus: You don’t have to think about switching it off again, because after a few minutes it returns automatically to normal operating mode when the steamy part of cooking is over.
